When it comes to life’s biggest events, you don’t get much bigger than the birth of a baby. Being mum myself, when I think about that day, I remember the morning when we were going to the hospital, than my room and preparation for giving birth, and than I remember the first hug with my son, holding him in my arms, his little hands, feet, nose and his soft hair… But I already forgot some things, such as nurses that they were taking care of us there, tiny onesies and socks that I prepared for the baby, and sometimes, that makes me a bit sad and I’m worried that my other memories will fade too.
That is why I would like to capture that atmosphere, emotions and scenes of the day when your child is born. That way, in many years to come, when you see the photos, it will all come back, all those tender feelings you had about the most amazing event in your life.
Typically, birth photography is one hour session, taken in hospital room (or at your home for a home birth) in the first 48 hours of your baby’s arrival. This is not a staged newborn session it is rather photo documentary session, photographing those precious first moments with your baby.
